You have to attack different presses in different ways

My opinion and observations as a former HS coach.

Dayton ran a zone press designed to trap 3/4 court and at 1/2 court and then look to intercept the lazy long passes. It also causes offenses to speed up beyond their comfort zone, and get the ball out of your main ballhandlers hands. But it also slows you down by continually looking out for traps. Quick passing to the gaps is the key, but you can't be in a hurry.

I'm a firm believer of getting the ball to the middle of the court vs these presses and attacking the rim after that. Once you beat the trap out front you have a 4 vs 3 or 3 vs 2 advantage. But you need your second best ball handler in that spot to make it effective. We'd get the ball to the middle and then be content with just starting the offense after that. After the set offense was started yesterday, Dayton over played the swing passes from side to side to keep the ball on one side of the court, disrupting offensive rhythm. Made everything look out of sync.

Memphis ran the full court bump and grind man to man designed to wear out the ball handlers. They over played the outlets trying to take out the offense of their rhythm. Either you let your main ball handler take it up one on one or find a mismatch to your advantage to take the ball. We didn't have many mismatches in this way vs Memphis because of their athleticism.

You really don't have a one size fits all press break strategy when facing these different looks. Both require ball movement, but in different ways.
